GALIUM, a COTS strategy

Factory systemes' COTS approach is embodied in its EDGE Computing range, marketed under the GLAIUM brand. This offer is based on standardized, ready-to-use configurations, including :

  • Industrial rack-mount PC and Shoebox

  • Industrial fanless PC

  • Industrial panel PC and display

  • Ruggedized portable PC and tablet

Although standardized, these products remain flexible thanks to the addition of options and complementary modules, enabling them to cover the majority of customers' specific needs, while guaranteeing rapid availability and excellent value for money.

It serves as a basis for drawing up specifications and guides the choice of solutions to be implemented.

Framing

enables us to better identify underlying, sometimes unexpressed, needs, so that we can offer an innovative, high value-added solution, perfectly adapted to our customers' expectations.

Specifications

It formalizes the technical, mechanical, functional and commercial requirements of a project, and serves as a reference for consulting suppliers.

Prototyping or POC

It provides an opportunity to test and verify the technical and functional viability of the solution in real-life conditions, before full deployment.

Customer test phase

Its aim is to test the solution with end-users to validate its suitability and, if necessary, make technical adjustments before final deployment.

Technical adjustment phase

This phase consists of modifying and optimizing the solution according to the user feedback gathered during testing, in order to guarantee its performance and suitability to needs.

Customer qualification and validation

The prototype qualification and validation phase consists of checking that the solution meets all the defined requirements, and validating its conformity before it goes into production.

Customer assembly instructions

Drafting of a detailed operating procedure describing all stages of system assembly and parameterization, to ensure sustainable production conformity throughout the project, even over several years.

Systems integration and industrialization

Factory Systemes specifically assembles and configures your industrial PCs, in its own integration department and on its six assembly lines. Our proximity to our suppliers not only ensures short implementation times, but also guarantees the longevity of your installations.

To meet our customers' requirements, we follow a clearly defined process:

  • assembly according to standard operating procedures or detailed assembly instructions validated by our customers

  • Complete traceability of components and systems as they leave the production line

  • Systematic debugging of systems prior to delivery, to guarantee correct equipment operation
